We can hardly contain our excitement over this one! According to a report from TV Guide, the Tanner-Gladstone-Katsopolis brood could be returning to our small screens for a reboot of the '90s favorite Full House.
While it's unclear whether this would be a sequel or a remake, TV Guide says that John Stamos (Uncle Jesse), who has an ownership stake in the original series, is heading up the effort. Candace Cameron Bure (D.J. Tanner), Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner), and Andrea Barber (Kimmy) have reportedly signed on, so we're really hoping we get some where-are-they-now action.
Bob Saget (Danny Tanner) and Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey), per the report, are also involved — although it wouldn't really be Full House without Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen (Michelle Tanner)!
If this moves forward, we're curious to see whether Warner Bros. TV finds some way to lure in the twins, now award-winning designers, into the fold — or at least their sister, Elizabeth Olsen, a big-time actress in her own right.
If this report ends up being true, it'll be really great timing for a return to TV. Full House currently reaches a whole new generation on Nick at Nite, and Bob, Dave, and John are closer than ever!
All three of the family patriarchs appeared in a Dannon Oikos commercial together recently — and the cast posted some adorable group photos at Dave's wedding last month. Plus, fellow TGIF series Boy Meets World recently got a reboot on the Disney Channel with its sequel, Girl Meets World.
Details are still murky, but we'll keep you posted as this story (we hope!) continues to develop — that is, of course, when we're not busy jumping up and down, screaming with excitement, and scouring Etsy for the perfect D.J. scrunchie.
Would you watch a Full House reboot? What do you hope it'll be like? Hit the comments and let it all out!
