Lark Voorhies at the Hollywood Farmers Market, August 31, 2014
What timing! Just in time for the premiere of the Lifetime biopic Saved By the Bell: The Unauthorized Story premiere, Lark Voorhies, who played Lisa Turtle on the iconic sitcom, made not one, but two rare public appearances in the Los Angeles area over Labor Day weekend.
When we last saw the actress back in May at the Los Angeles premiere of the film Where We Started, Lark, now 40, raised some eyebrows with her cosmetic choices — most notably a ton of mismatched foundation. The actress once again donned heavy makeup while shopping at the Hollywood Farmers Market on Sunday, wearing dramatic blue eyeshadow and a bobbed wig. In a second set of photos taken yesterday, Lark walks barefoot on a Santa Monica beach, going for a much more traditional look in light makeup, a red dress, and natural hair.
Two public appearances in a row is a super-rare occurrence for the former starlet, who also starred on In the House in the late '90s and in the comedy How High in 2001. Last time it took nearly two years to get a glimpse of her; girl (understandably) kind of fell off the map after her mom told People she'd been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, a claim which Lark denies.
