TV Nostalgia

As it turns out, it's not just us doing Dawson's Creek rerun marathons! Our favorite TV shows totally defined our lives, whether we started watching last month or last decade — and sometimes you just need to curl up and revisit the Wonder Years.

Sometimes it starts with hot guys, like that classic Seth Cohen vs. Ryan Atwood (The O.C.) question that totally defines what you look for in a dude — or, to get more complicated, the heated Gilmore Girls debate: Dean vs. Jess vs. Logan. (Sometimes, we still can't believe that Sam Winchester of Supernatural isn't just alternate-universe Dean Forester.)

It's not just about cute guys, though — if it were, we'd be re-watching that single season of Odd Man Out with Erik Von Detten every day.

It Wasn't Just Us! Which '90s Star Calls Fred Savage Her First Crush?

Getting nostalgic for our favorite TV shows of yesteryear isn't always about repeating the past. Sometimes, a new fact or Easter egg turns your favorite show into a whole new series. Re-watching Freaks and Geeks gets even better after learning Judd Apatow's plans for the Season 2 that never was. Re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer is pretty hilarious if you just picture Katie Holmes instead of Sarah Michelle Gellar the whole time. One Tree Hill is just a little sadder after reading about Sophia Bush and Chad Michael Murray's ill-fated marriage.

Most of all, though, we're really, really looking forward to re-watching Veronica Mars after the big movie comes out.

Of course, sometimes we don't have to flash back to revisit our favorite characters. That's what reunions are for! Sometimes we just get an itsy-bitsy reunion, like when the men of Full House reunited for a yogurt commercial (yep, that's a thing that happened). Other times, though, we get lucky.

Boy Meets World spinoff Girl Meets World is giving us an opportunity to see Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and Topanga Lawrence (Danielle Fishel) experience married life together — 14 years after BMW's finale! The pair now have kids of their own, and their daughter, Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard), will grow up right before our eyes, just like her dad. We're probably not getting Shawn Hunter (Rider Strong) back anytime soon — especially since Rider keeps Shawn locked in a basement, that jerk — but we're patient!
