We love the stand-up guys of Duck Dynasty — they’re funny, down to earth, and easygoing — but we’ve always wondered about Si Robertson’s family, since we’ve never seen his wife and kids on the show. Uncle Si opened up to In Touch about his secret family and why we don’t see them on the hit reality show.

“One woman’s got my heart. Her name is Miss Christine,” Si told the mag. “We’ve been married for 43 years.” Wowza, that’s a long time!

During those 43 years, Si and Miss Christine have have parented two children, Trasa and Scott, as well as eight grandkids. Now that we know just how many offspring Si and his little lady have, we can sort of understand why we’re not being introduced to 11 new faces on the A&E show.

While Si says Christine could be on the show, he says, “she’s got better sense than all the rest of us. We’ve lost our privacy. I don’t really like that part of it, to be honest. But I guess that’s the cost of being famous!”

In a touching story about their relationship, Si revealed that he asked Christine to marry him “at least 100 times,” though she kept refusing because doctors told her she couldn’t have children.

“I said, ‘Hey, the doctors don’t have the final word. I believe in a higher power,’” Si said. “And I got two miracle babies who gave me four grandsons each.”

Are you surprised to hear about Si’s “other” family? Hit the comments and let us know!
