So let’s talk about Orphan Black. This sci-fi series blew out of Canada like any icy winter wind and struck us (and critics) down with its thought-provoking premise, sudden plot twists, and award-winning acting. Season 1 premiered back in March and ran for a too-short ten episodes. Ever since the finale wrapped back in June we’ve been wondering when we’ll once again see the many sides of Sarah Manning.
Well, the long wait is finally over and we have an answer! Prepare your clone cakes for Saturday, April 19, 2014, for a 9 p.m. premiere on both BBC America in the US and on Space in Canada.
Any day Orphan Black comes back would be a good one but 4/19/14 is extra special. The date is a palindrome. Clones. They’re everywhere!
Season 2 will also be ten episodes long, reports Variety, with leading lady Tatiana Maslany once again taking center stage as Sarah, Alison Hendrix, Cosmia Niehaus, and who knows who else.
Unfortunately, we don’t get a sneak peek at any new clones in the Season 2 teaser trailer. In fact, we don’t see much but some clever graphics work set to haunting music and a reminder to join #cloneclub. All 17 seconds of the teaser leave us feeling a bit weirded out, which, you know, is kind of expected when it comes to this show.
