There's no time to be sleepy — Fox is expanding Sleepy Hollow's Season 1 finale to two hours, from 8 to 10 p.m. on Monday, January 20.
It's great news for Ichabod fans! However, it's bad news for anyone expecting to see The Following's Season 2 premiere that night. In giving Sleepy Hollow another hour, Kevin Bacon's show saw its premiere pushed to Monday, January 27 from 9 to 10 p.m. But fans can still watch a special preview of the new season on Sunday, January 19.
Back to Sleepy Hollow. Fox shared some details on the special super-sized finale.
In the first hour, “The Indispensable Man,” Ichabod (Tom Mison) and Abbie (Nicole Beharie) "discover a massive secret buried within the pages of George Washington’s Bible and unearth the shocking true nature of the founding father’s death. Meanwhile, Captain Irving (Orlando Jones) makes a near-impossible decision for the sake of his beloved family that drastically changes his future."
In the second hour, “Bad Blood," FOX says "the battle between good and evil comes to an explosive head – sacrifices must be made, worlds collide, loyalties are tested and the town of Sleepy Hollow will never be the same – resulting in a haunting first season finale."
It's not really shocking to see Fox give more time to Sleepy Hollow. The freshman show's premiere gave the network its highest ratings in seven years. It was renewed for a second season after only three episodes aired.
Are you excited for an extra hour with Ichabod or upset to see The Following pushed back?
