It’s a new year and a new season for Duck Dynasty’s Robertson family — and the clan has plenty of resolutions for 2014.

After the family patriarch Phil Robertson was suspended from and then quickly reinstated on the show following his controversial anti-gay statements during an interview with GQ, the family swears there isn’t any awkwardness with the network.

“We’re just glad to be back to work,” Willie Robertson told Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Bill Hemmer on Fox News’ All-American New Year special. “A&E and us are fine. We’re looking forward to getting back to making some funny shows. It’s a new year, so we’re ready to break in a new year and start it all over again.

Hopefully starting over again means no more off-color remarks about how being gay is “not logical” and instead concentrates on things the Duck Dynasty family knows and loves like a good, long beard.

“I’m going to take better care of my beard this year than last year, so more lotions and oils… yeah, I need to get back to the beard,” Willie said.

Regardless of what antics the family fills the new season with, Willie says they’ve all learned a lot from the mishaps of the past few months.

"We got a new season coming up in a couple weeks, and we're really excited about that. We got a couple episodes filmed...and we're ready to move on, " he said. "I think we all learned a lot and we're just ready to move on, and the family's happy, and we're ready to go. I've got to make sure my guys are back there building duck calls."
