Here's a piping-hot, venti cup of dumb news!

Entertainment Weekly reports that the Dumb Starbucks coffeeshop which has captured the attention of national news and social media turns out to be a stunt by Comedy Central's Nathan Fielder — presumably for his show Nathan For You, which is currently filming its second season

The coffee shop sprung up in Los Feliz, California, over the weekend and looked just like a regular Starbucks location, except that everything — from the logo to the drink items on the menu to the Norah Jones CDs on display — was preceded by the word "dumb."

The store even gave out free coffee and pastries to the hundreds of curious folks who lined up outside the nondescript strip mall to check it out.

Though Dumb Starbucks tried to indemnify itself as "parody art," the real Starbucks did not take so kindly for it, emailing USA Today to say, "We are evaluating next steps, and while we appreciate the humor, they cannot use our name, which is a protected trademark."

Nathan intended on keeping the store open till Friday, but Los Angeles County health inspectors rejected Dumb Starbucks's claim that it was an art gallery and that its coffee was art — forcing the store to stop serving the java and slapping a "notice of closure" at the front door, as the Associated Press reports.

Well, it was good, caffeinated fun while it lasted!
