Say hello to your new favorite show.

MTV’s new series Faking It might be more awkward than Awkward — and we couldn’t be more excited. The show follows unpopular besties Karma (Katie Stevens) and Amy (Rita Volk), who are mistakenly outed at a high school party. But their status as the school’s lesbians catapults them into popularity. So do they come clean about their faux-lesbian relationship and lose their bid for Homecoming Queens, or do they continue lying to the entire student body for the popularity? Obvi, they choose the latter.

Of course, all the straight male attention will make things difficult for Karma and Amy, especially when hottie Liam (Gregg Sulkin) takes interest in “lipstick lesbian” Karma. So to solidify their position in the social hierarchy of high school, Amy takes matters into her own hands at the school assembly.

“Being gay is the best thing that ever happened to us,” Amy says. And we’ll have to wait and see if Faking It is the best thing that has ever happened to our Tuesday nights.
