The bad news? The Big Bang Theory will probably air its season finale at the end of Season 10. The good news? That's three years away!

Yep, we're only in Season 7, so we have a lot of laughs left with Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, and the rest of the Pasadena posse.

Last month, CBS renewed the hit sitcom — currently the best-rated comedy in the 18-49 demographic — for three seasons.

And now, Big Bang showrunner Steve Molaro is telling The Hollywood Reporter that Season 10 will probably be the endpoint: "I'm going to move forward along with [co-creator] Chuck [Lorre] that 10 is the end unless we're told otherwise. These are decisions that are so far away I can't really even think about that. I have no choice but to move forward … It's so far away. [Laughs]"

That said, Steve says that the writers and producers have yet to settle on how the hilarious series will close: "We all have thoughts and talk about little things here and there, but we can't even think four episodes ahead on this show, so to think 72 ahead is kind of crazy. [Laughs] … My concern is that we do it right and we end this show in a way that is as befitting of these characters that we respect and love."

Well, the good news is that he and the rest of the comedy masterminds in that writers' room have three more revolutions around the sun to engineer the finale!
