If you’re loving Showtime’s new horror series Penny Dreadful, you’re not alone! The freshman series starring Josh Hartnett has just been renewed for a second — and even longer — season. Rejoice like you’re Dr. Frankenstein and you’ve just reanimated life!

“Picking up Penny Dreadful was one of the easiest decisions I’ve made,” Showtime president David Nevins said in a statement, via TVLine. “[Series creator] John Logan has deftly created an epic series that has drawn raves from a wide-range of audiences from quality drama lovers to critics, to hardcore genre fans.”

Not only is it great news that the show will be back next year, but the episode count has been increased from eight to 10 episodes. That means there will be even more creeptastic moments to look forward to!

This week’s episode — Season 1, Episode 5 (“Closer Than Sisters”) — will continue to unravel the complicated past between Sir Malcolm (Timothy Dalton), Vanessa (Eva Green), and Mina (Olivia Llewellyn). This kicks off the second half of Season 1, inching us even closer to the finale.

Even better? If you tune in at 6 p.m. ET this Sunday you can get completely caught up with reruns before the new episode at 10 p.m. ET.

Good thing we can rest easy knowing there will be more spooky drama next year!
