Toronto criminals better watch out — the cops of Rookie Blue are back on the beat as Season 5 premieres with a two-hour episode on ABC on Thursday, June 19, at 9 p.m. ET.
We're counting down the five reasons why you should tune in to the Canadian cop show's fifth season.
5. New blood
Joining the crew this season are Oliver Becker as the tough-as-nails Inspector John Jarvis) and Matt Murray as the ambitious but annoying rookie Duncan Moore. 15 Division won't know what hit it!
4. Diner discord
In the Season 5 premiere, Andy (Missy Peregrym) and Dov (Gregory Smith) will hit up a local greasy spoon to escape the craziness of their jobs — and, we hope, to eat pie à la mode — only to be forced back into action when 20-somethings hold up the restaurant.
3. Chloe's secret husband
A gunman may have taken both Chloe (Priscilla Faia) and Sam (Ben Bass) down for the count, but once the former recovers from her coma, she'll probably spend her hospital bed-ridden days thinking up an explanation for why she hid her married status from Dov.
2. An Andy-Sam reunion?
After that proclamation of love in the ambulance, we're wondering what will become of Andy and her on-again, off-again relationship with Sam — especially because they're both in relationships. We're assuming Andy's leading man will make a full recovery, but will they be able to resurrect their romance?
1. Decision time
By the end of the first episode, Andy will inform her two suitors — Sam and Nick (Peter Mooney) — of her heart's intentions. Gotta love when a love triangle goes sideways!
