Breaking Bad broke out again at the Television Critics Association Awards. The now departed AMC show took the top honor of Program of the Year for the second year in a row at the TCA Awards, which were held last night (Saturday, July 19) at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
The 2014 event was hosted by Terry Crews of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which didn't win any comedy awards, although the show was nominated. The perpetually overlooked Tatiana Maslany of Orphan Black also did not win anything, although at least the TCAs nominated her for Individual Achievement in Drama. That award went to Matthew McConaughey of True Detective. (The TCA categories are gender neutral.)
RuPaul's Drag Race actually won for best reality show, over Emmy favorite The Amazing Race, plus Survivor, The Voice and Shark Tank. How cool is that? Game of Thrones walked away with nothing, which is less cool.

And here's the list of who was nominated, in case you want to know who they beat. But we may see a repeat of this basic lineup at the Emmys. Or do you think Bryan Cranston can win against Matthew McConaughey, since this is the last hurrah for Breaking Bad? McConaughey is just stealing all the film and TV wins this year!
