Though the departure of Madison Hildebrand shook up the cast of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles heading into Season 7, the showings must go on. While some fans may mourn Madison’s absence, the show is going full steam ahead without him, with some fresh faces added to the lineup: David Parnes and James Harris.

How are show regulars Josh Altman and Josh Flagg dealing with the new realtors on the block? Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the two Joshes ahead of the August 20 season premiere and asked them all about their experience with the new British imports. Needless to say, we sense some major drama this season!

Wetpaint Entertainment: What are you most excited about this season?

Josh Flagg: I’m excited that basically it’s a new show because we have new blood and there’s new characters. I think that changes the dynamic of the show completely. Also the property prices this season are much higher than ever before.

Josh Altman: I’m super excited, not only about the good market and the deals and the typical drama, but I’m also excited because you get to see a different side of me that’s a little more vulnerable. You get to see us planning the wedding, the ups and downs of that, and you get to see more of my personal life. You’ll get a feel of who I am, not just some guy closing deals in real estate.

What kind of drama will David and James bring to the table? How do they fit in?

Josh Altman: On any show it’s exciting to get some new blood, so we’re excited about that. They come out trying to hit it out of the park because they want to prove themselves not only to the viewers but to us as well. Some of that drama is they like to put their chest out, say, “Hey, we’re the new guys and we sell more than you” — which they don’t.

They get put in their place in the first couple of episodes pretty quick which will bring them back down to reality. All in all, though, I think they’re a good addition to the show.

What was your first impression of the new guys?

Josh Altman: I like their accents [laughs]. They’re not really on Josh Flagg and I’s level, but they’re up-and-comers, they’re still learning. They like to say they have a big international presence, but I think the only thing international about them is their accents.

Flagg and I have a good dynamic, but throughout the season you’ll see they end up being more of a team against me, so it’ll be interesting to see how that comes across on TV.

Josh Flagg: I think they’re great. They bring a new dynamic to the show and I think they are hard workers and I appreciate their work ethic.

What keeps you guys coming back season after season?

Josh Altman: It’s great for business. At the end of the day, we signed our lives away four or six years ago and we kind of went into this not holding anything back, opening up our private lives as well as our business lives, and you get to see The Altman Brothers growing. You get a lot of good and bad from being on the show, but the good outweighs the bad.
