Hold on to your tiaras, Miss Congeniality fans! Sandra Bullock herself wants to bring her 2000 hit movie to small screens near you.
The Academy Award winner reportedly wants to produce a spinoff of the comedy. While she’s announced no plans to star in it (disappointing, we know), Gracie Hart on TV does have promise. The frumpy FBI special agent turned beauty queen already proved she could hold up a sequel with Armed and Fabulous. TV can’t be any harder!
Additional details are scant but a source “who has worked closely” with Sandra tells RadarOnline.com the proposed series would be “Bridesmaids meets 24,” a combination we can totally get behind.
This wouldn’t be Sandy’s first time in the producer’s chair. Right as she was getting her footing as an actress, Sandra was heavily involved in the The George Lopez Show as an executive producer during the series’ run from 2002 to 2007. That show not only won a Primetime Emmy, it garnered more than 40 total award show nominations during its five years on air.
Honestly, though, after surviving the filming of Gravity, producing a successful spin-off should be easier than letting George Clooney float off into space.
