Two and Half Men to End Run After Upcoming 12th Season

Two and a Half Men has been a staple on CBS for over a decade, but the network announced today, May 14, that the comedy will officially end it’s run once the upcoming twelfth season concludes around this time next year.

Per Deadline, CBS President Nina Tassler promises fans of the hit show will get a proper goodbye, much like the network’s How I Met Your Mother was given earlier this year. In fact, CBS has promised a “season-long event” to ensure that the series is adequately concluded. Given all that Men has been through, it only seems fair!

As many of you likely remember, the Chuck Lorre-created comedy survived the much-talked about meltdown and subsequent firing of its original star, Charlie Sheen, over three years ago. Even though many doubted that Men could continue without its first star, the show went on for three (soon to be four) more seasons with former That ‘70s Show actor Ashton Kutcher leading the cast.

Charlie’s character (also named Charlie) was killed off the series after his antics got him fired, but many are still wondering if his TV alter ego could be resurrected for the final season, you know, for old time’s sake. “Chuck Lorre has a lot of surprises in store, I’m not sure this is one of them,” Nina quipped.
