Watch out, Braxton sisters! There’s a new cast of divas ready to take over WE tv, and they’re none other than the stars of legendary R&B group SWV. In their new reality show called SWV Reunited, we’ll get to see singers Coko Clemons, Lelee Lyons, and Taj George work out their differences as they embark on a long-awaited comeback tour — as well as cook up some drama!

Wetpaint Entertainment chatted exclusively with SWV at the SWV Reunited premiere party on January 15 in New York City, where the ladies dished on their new show, upcoming ventures, and even took a jab (all in good fun, of course!) at other girl groups.

Wetpaint Entertainment: We need more female R&B groups. Why doesn’t the industry celebrate them anymore?

Lelee: They hatin’, and girl groups can’t stay together! Why you need them when you got us?

Ooh, I like that answer!

Coko: Oh, I have a girl group coming out! They’re called TTYL, and they’re talented young ladies aged 15, 16 and 17. They are coming soon!

When can we expect your next solo project?

Coko: I’m not even thinking about that right now. I’m focusing on my girl group. I wanna put them out and make them a household name.

You’re also focusing on your new TV show, of course! What inspired you to do a reality show?

Coko: Well, it’s the “in thing” right now. Everybody’s doing it, so why not do it if that’s what I need? [laughs]

SWV Reunited premieres Wednesday, January 15 at 6:30 p.m. ET on WE tv. Will you be tuning in? Let us know in the comments below!
