Tyga is without his mascot, if TMZ is to be believed.
The site reports cops have taken the rapper's pet tiger away and that Tyga’s now susceptible to misdemeanor charges for possession of a prohibited species — and perhaps even a six-month jail sentence.
Apparently, someone ratted Tyga out to the California authorities, and they visited his Ventura County home, where they confiscated the 7-month-old cat and took it to a private animal shelter and then to a state facility so they can further investigate the case.
Then again, other sources — ones "close to Tyga" — tell TMZ that the 24-year-old realized the illegality of the situation himself and donated the tiger to a sanctuary.
The site also claims that the feline was in fine condition. Apparently Tyga is a good, if misguided, pet owner!
In better news, Tyga — whose real name is Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson — is hard at work on his fourth album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty. On April 9, he released the second single from the effort, "Hookah," having released the first in October, the Justin Bieber-featuring "Wait For a Minute.
Here's hoping that kitty wasn't the key to his success!
