Earlier this week, news broke that Perri “Pebbles” Reid was moving forward to sue Viacom for $40 million dollars over her portrayal in the TLC biopic, CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. The former music mogul was pretty peeved at what she described as “many false and defamatory statements and scenes” about her. However, when TLC member Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas sat down with Bossip, she claimed that Pebbles had “no case.”

Pebbles claimed that the movie “ignored fundamental canons of journalistic and literary conduct by publishing false and defamatory accusations with actual malice,” and said that after taking Viacom to the cleaners, she was going after VH1 and even TLC. However, Chili thinks that won’t be the case.

“Pebbles couldn’t sue us because we didn’t lie,” Chili said. ”When people talk about lawsuits and then it kind of dies out, you’re like oh, okay. Either they forget it or you settled or something, or they’re okay with people believing what they say is not true, or they had no case. And in that case, she ain’t had no case.”

While Chili admits that “some stuff has to be fantasized” but she says for the most part, they were keeping it real.

Do you think Pebbles Reid should drop the lawsuit? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
