R&B Divas Atlanta star Monifah may have kept much about her February wedding to her partner, Terez, under wraps — saving the juicy details for Season 3 of the hit TV One reality show — but it looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to see what Monifah and her gal looked like on their big day. In fact, Essence magazine posted the exclusive first look photos of Monifah and Terez in their wedding gowns, and guys, they look beautiful!

In the breathtaking photos from their Hawaiian union, we see Monifah rocking her custom-made black, ruched, strapless gown, with a nude under-bodice and English netting, while Terez opted for a simple floor-length halter dress in navy blue.

“It’s something I’ve never done before,” Monifah said of her marriage to Essence. “It’s all new and wonderful. My life is merged and my spirit has merged with somebody else.”

The union took place at The Modern Hotel in Honolulu, with Monifah’s friend and singer Rashan Patterson performing “Can’t We Wait a Minute” as she walked down the aisle. The bride dished on her non-traditional gown, saying, “I love black. It’s striking, it’s beautiful, and you know what? It was my day!”

In addition to having Terez and Monifah’s parents present at the ceremony, Monifah invited other family members and close friends, including her co-stars, KeKe Wyatt, Syleena Johnson, Angie Stone, Meelah Williams, and LaTavia Roberson.

From the looks of the photos, Monifah and Terez had an amazing and stunning wedding, but Monifah dished that her favorite part of it all was looking at her wife.

“That’s all I saw. I focused on her,” Monifah dished, adding “I didn’t want to cry, but she was crying so she almost made me cry. When she saw me, I could tell she was crying too.”

Aww!
