After getting our first look at former America’s Next Top Model runner-up Yaya DaCosta Alafia as Whitney Houston in The Whitney Houston Story, we finally get to see her on-screen counterpart Arlen Escarpeta take on the role of Bobby Brown. Oh, and we don’t get just Arlen on his own — the two actors are hugged up together!

In the first pic of the couple starring in the Lifetime biopic (airing in 2015) Arlen is rocking Bobby’s signature ‘80s hair with an asymmetrical high top fade and black tank top, while Yaya is owning Whitney’s cover look off her 1987 self-titled album Whitney: voluminous curly hair, red lip, smoky eyes, and a bright smile.

The movie’s director is the late real-life Whitney’s Waiting to Exhale co-star Angela Bassett, who is actually looking for Whitney fans to join in on the film. That’s right! Ange took to Twitter with a casting call for anyone looking to be an extra in the biopic.

“Hey Everybody! You good? Wanna be in the Whitney movie w/me? Well click here: http://t.co/89wP8buGWu & come on!” she tweeted on July 14 with a flyer providing audition times and swag.

While we’re still making up our minds on the film, we’re starting to think it’s on the right track with these guys’ styling. Let’s hope the trailer is every bit as good as these photos!
