Hey, T.I., want a role in a superhero movie? "Go Get It!"

Per The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel announced that the 33-year-old rapper is joining the cast of Ant-Man, the newest franchise in the Marvelverse.

Paul Rudd has the lead role, playing Scott Lang, a petty criminal whose size is shrunk but strength is exponentially increased by a mysterious substance.

The film also stars Michael Douglas as Scott's mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, the original Ant-Man; Lost's Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Hank's daughter; and The Strain's Corey Stoll as Hank's former protege Darren Cross, who becomes villain Yellowjacket.

No word on the role T.I. will fill, but we're hoping it's action-packed!

Along with his casting in the project, Marvel also announced the additions of John Slattery (Mad Men), Judy Greer (Archer), and Bobby Cannavale (Blue Jasmine).

The film just began its principal photography yesterday (August 18) in San Francisco, and is on track for a release date of July 17, 2015.

If you recall, this isn't T.I. first acting gig! He had starring roles in the films American Gangster, Takers, and Identity Thief — and he took recurring parts in the TV shows Boss, House of Lies, and Single Ladies.

Looking forward to seeing his "super" performance!
