Basketball Wives LA Season 3 star Sundy Carter has quintessentially become Public Enemy No. 1. After throwing an extremely low blow at co-star Brandi Maxiell’s infertility, fans were outraged to the point of creating a petition to get her kicked off the show! But Sundy said she’d like people to know that she’s not a “mean girl,” she just “human” like the rest of us.
“I’m human. I make mistakes,” Sundy revealed during a Hip Hollywood one-on-one. The reality star and mom gushed that, after watching the reunion show (which aired Monday, April 28), she felt like she “really didn’t get a chance to get my point across.... I felt like I went in with the right intentions to make a genuine apology to those I offended and I feel like I didn’t get that opportunity.”
During the reunion show, Sundy apologized to co-star Draya Michele for mentioning the latter’s son in an argument. Other cast members — particularly Brandi — thought the apology was total BS. “I feel like people aren’t accepting my apologies for whatever reason because I’ve been portrayed as the villain on the show, so I feel like they don’t think it’s sincere when it realistically is.”
Sundy went on to accredit her portrayal as the “villain” of the season to the gift and curse of reality TV editing, saying, “if I had a moment where I was in conversation with any of my other castmates in a good way, that wasn’t shown. So It’s like she can’t be mean all the time.”
“I think I come across as being angry or bitter, but I’m far from that,” Sundy added. The reality star said she’d like another opportunity to show that she’s not the bad girl everyone thinks she is.
“I would definitely want to come back next year … I would definitely like to show me being a mom instead of a mean girl. I would definitely like for people to get into Sundy’s world,” Sundy confessed.
