Since no vampires are whisking us away on around-the-world trips, we’re introducing a new weekly feature to help you while away the long Vampire Diaries hiatus: Where in the World Are Rebekah and Matt? Each week, we’ll pick a locale we think the OV is dying to drag her favorite human to and imagine what those two crazy kids are getting up to. Enjoy!
Suffering from the love hangover that was their trip to Paris, Bex and Matt made their way to Jolly Old England this week; London to be exact. They thought they’d have the city to themselves, but Matt could’ve sworn he got a glimpse of Damon on the foggy streets — but it couldn’t have been him, right? Maybe it was a doppelganger.
The weather was a bit dreary, so Rebekah picked up some cute wellies and Burberry coats for both of them. They also picked up a few fine wines at Berry Bros & Rudd, where Lord Byron used to shop. (Actually, Bex used to know the poet and tried to convince Matt that he wrote “She Walks in Beauty” about her.) Afterwards, they headed to the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace. Naturally, Rebekah decided she was too refined to try and make one of the guards in the furry hats flinch, though her vampire face would’ve done the trick.
The pair had a few too many pints at the Fox and Anchor, which is the only reason Matt agreed to cross London Bridge on foot. (Bridges still make him nervous.)
