This just in: Nina Dobrev is the Regina George of The Vampire Diaries — we hear she does hair care commercials… in Japan.

If the Mean Girls reference stumped you, click here, then proceed reading about Nina’s latest (and greatest) career move. Ready? OK.

When she’s not busy playing Elena on TVD, filming an array of exciting films, or lighting up the red carpet, Nina is representing Lux, a Japanese haircare brand. In a brand new commercial, she flips her hair, struts her stuff, and shows off her amazing ‘do — all while being dubbed over in Japanese.

We hear a faint bit of her speaking in English at the beginning and end, saying, “new Lux” and “Lux, super rich,” though it didn’t exactly match up with the way her mouth was moving — naturally. Regardless, she looks flawless, and this commercial is reminiscent of Pantene’s campaigns (shiny hair flowing, close-up shots of hair follicles), a brand that Nina has said she’d love to represent. Hey, Lux is the next best thing!

Nina isn’t the only TVD star who has perfect hair. Co-star Candice Accola (Caroline) is the new face of WEN haircare, shooting an informercial and doing a photoshoot for the brand. While Candice has yet to talk about her haircare routine, Nina has said that she doesn’t wash her hair every day. Maybe that will change with all her free swag!
