Characters on The Vampire Diaries are great at keeping secrets, and apparently so are former stars. Alice Evans, who played Esther (aka the Originals’ mom), gave birth to a baby girl last month, but kept it out of the press until October 1!

"We are beyond thrilled to announce the arrival of our daughter, Elsie Marigold, on September 13th. A little sister for Ella Betsi. We both feel very grateful and very blessed,” Alice and her husband, Ioan Gruffudd, told E! News. Aww, Elsie and Ella! Too cute for words.

The couple has a love story that was made for TV, too. They met on the set of — wait for it — 102 Dalmatians back in 2000 and married seven years later in Mexico. Alice gave birth to their first daughter, Ella, in 2009, and they announced their second pregnancy in June.

"She'll be 4 by the time the baby arrives, so I think she'll cope quite well with it," Ioan told Us Weekly of how Ella will feel about her new sibling. “She's very excited about the idea. I'm sure there will be jealousy and envy and all that stuff, but more than anything, she's really excited about it."

Fingers crossed some cute photos of the two kids (and their entire amazing family) surface soon! Congrats to the gorgeous couple, and hopefully Alice shows up on The Originals in flashback form, or perhaps alongside Ioan on Glee — he’s Rachel Berry’s audition co-star.
