Brace yourselves, Vampire Diaries fans! If you’ve been catching up on your binge-watching and were waiting for Season 4 to hit Netflix, your wait is almost over. Grab a bowl of popcorn and call in sick for work tomorrow, October 3, to start watching the most dramatic season (to date) of TVD.

As you may already know, this Thursday is poised to be the most fangtastic day of the year. We have The Originals and Season 5 The Vampire Diaries premiering, and it’s also the day you can catch up on all the drama leading up to Silas’s resurrection.

Watching Season 4 could also get you caught up for The Originals, as it’s got a lot of background info for Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) and his sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) to learn before they head off to New Orleans. Also, Episode 20 of Season 4 is titled “The Originals” and is meant to be the pilot for the Big Easy spin-off.

The October 3 premiere for The Originals is more of a backdoor pilot, and it will be told mostly from the viewpoint of Elijah Mikaelson (Daniel Gillies), giving it a different feel from the original pilot. Basically, you need to watch Season 4 for tons of different reasons.

Will you be catching Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries on Netflix on October 3? Hit the comments and let us know!
