Arielle Kebbel, who once played Lexi Branson way back on Season 1 of The Vampire Diaries, is headed to a new Amazon show! Arielle is joining the pilot for their latest drama The After, from Chris Carter, creator of The X Files.

According to Deadline, the former TVD star is joining Sharon Lawrence, Andrew Howard (Hatfields & McCoys), and newcomer Jaina Lee Ortiz for the series, which already included Jamie Kennedy, Adrian Pasdar, and Aldis Hodge.

The After takes place at the moment of apocalypse and Arielle will play Tammy, a sexy, professional woman. Hmm, is that really all they can tell us about her character?

Just in case you don’t recall who her character was, here’s a refresher: Lexi was besties with Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) and she came to Mystic Falls to visit him for his 162nd birthday — you know, like any good friend would have done. Besides Lexi confusing Elena for Katherine (both played by Nina Dobrev), things were going pretty smoothly, that is until Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) decided to stake her as “part of the plan.” Natch. She came back in the Season 4 finale, but otherwise, she’s off in the Other Side.

We miss you, Arielle, but have fun at the apocalypse!
