Hell hath no fury like Caroline Forbes scorned.

At the end of the Season 5 premiere, Tyler left Caroline an unsettling voicemail. He decided to defer Whitmore College for a year so that he can focus on helping a werewolf pack in Appalachia. (We’re still not clear on why.) This didn’t go over well with Caroline, who had already planned out her perfect fall semester with Tyler — lunches on the quad, dorm room hook-ups, et al.

But instead of wallowing, Caroline decides to get angry. In this sneak peek clip from Season 5, Episode 2 ("True Lies"), Caroline decides that since Tyler is “deferring from enrolling” and deferring from answering her phone calls, she’s “deferring from having sex with him ever again.”

Is this the beginning of the end for Forwood? We know that Caroline is going to try and make things work with Tyler, but when a cute upperclassman takes an interest on our vampire Barbie, will her resolve be thrown out the window?

“The likelihood of them lasting is just as likely as any other high school relationships that [travel] to college,” Candice recently told The Hollywood Reporter. “Sometimes that works, sometimes that doesn't. I think Caroline's really trying to make it work but I think in most circumstances, high school sweethearts don't really make it past freshman year.”

Caroline will obviously be spending some alone time with upperclassman Jesse this semester — just take a look at these Season 5, Episode 4 spoiler photos — but let’s not forget there’s another sexy supernatural on her mind — Klaus! With the hybrid down in New Orleans waging war against vampire king Marcel, it’s probably not the best time to start a relationship, but that doesn’t mean Caroline won’t be thinking of him.

“Klaus definitely does come up in conversation as the season progresses, and we all get a taste of exactly how she feels about him,” Candice told TVLine.

With so many hot men to choose from, it sounds like Caroline is getting her typical college experience after all.

Watch the full sneak peek below, and tell us what you think. Is Caroline being too harsh on Tyler? Do you think they should make it work? Or should she dump him? Sound off in the comments!
