The Vampire Diaries star Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan) has won full custody of his two-year-old daughter.

The girl’s mother, Alanna Turner, is currently serving time in a federal prison, incarcerated for conspiracy to commit mail or wire fraud for involvement in selling hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of stolen electronics on eBay.

Alanna reportedly admitted to accepting money to buy electronics to be resold on eBay. She and her co-defendants traveled to Alabama amongst other states to buy PlayStation 3s, iPods, iPads, and other goods. She was sentenced to six months in prison.

Zach was awarded custody of the girl last month in Georgia, TMZ reports. While the soft-spoken star originally requested child support from his daughter’s mama, Zach has since backed off the request, perhaps because Alanna clearly isn’t making tons of money in the slammer.

We’re happy to see the custody arrangement worked out in Zach’s favor as the Vampire Diaries star has already prepared an adorable home for himself and his daughter in Atlanta, where he films the show. Over the summer, the 28-year-old cutie purchased a 3,044 sq-ft house with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths in the city’s Poncey-Highland neighborhood. The colonial-style home boasts oak hardwood floors, a wrap-around front porch, and a covered terrace.
