After the shocking news in Episode 3 (“Original Sin”) that Janina Gavankar’s character is more than just Tessa (she’s actually Qetsiyah!), it seems like there’s been some crazy doppelganger drama released in Mystic Falls.

In the upcoming seventh episode, “Death and the Maiden,” we’re going to see shifting alliances and tons of disturbing news. We’re going to see Damon and Elena try to explain the whole Amara (the original Petrova doppelganger) situation to Stefan, while Dr. Wes is going to give Katherine some shocking news.

Nadia, the traveler who is giving Silas a run for his money, is still looking for Katerine. Amara (is Nina Dobrev pulling triple duty now?) is going to give Bonnie and Jeremy a glimmer of hope, and Silas, never one to be trusted, is going to cross Damon, giving him no choice but to ask Tessa for help.

Oh, and Stefan’s got some shocking news for Damon and Elena. Our heads are still spinning, but check out the synopsis for yourself:

“While Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) try to explain Amara’s (Nina Dobrev) situation to Stefan (Paul Wesley), Dr. Wes (guest star Rick Cosnett) gives Katherine (Nina Dobrev) some deeply disturbing news. Nadia (guest star Olga Fonda) shows up at Caroline’s (Candice Accola) dorm room, searching for Katherine. After a surprising conversation with Amara, Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) share a glimmer of hope. Silas (Paul Wesley) fails to keep a promise, causing Damon to turn to Tessa (guest star Janina Gavankar) for help with his new plan, and Stefan makes a heartbreaking confession to Damon and Elena.”
