Holy 100th episode! The Vampire Diaries has finished their first day of filming on their centennial episode yesterday. Which cast member is tweeting about it? Read on to find out!

“Just wrapped the first day of ep 511 with  @iansomerhalder and @McQueeninchains 100th episode y'all,” tweeted Zach Roerig (Matt Donovan). So, we now know at least one thing about the much anticipated episode: we will be getting a Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen), and Matt scene in it! So, basically, it seems like the ep is on the right track. Any storyline involving these three is usually thoroughly enjoyable. (Remember Camp Vampire Hunter last season? We’re still waiting for another “Matt and Jeremy jog around the lake” scene.)

The 100th episode of a television series is a big deal because, traditionally, it marks the point at which said show can be sold into syndication (aka reruns). Hopefully, this means TVD will soon be gracing our early evening cable lineups. Also, we’re hoping for an insanely epic episode to ring in the celebration for us viewers at home who don’t get to partake in the usual on-set cake.

Last month, Candice Accola (Caroline) had this to say about the upcoming 100th episode: “Honestly, I don’t even know what’s happening in the next episode yet, so I would assume that there’s going to be a lot going on in 5x11, but it’s all under lock and key.” Though, we must be careful what we wish for! There’s talk of an emotionally-traumatizing episode currently in the works. Could the 100th episode be the brutal episode in question?
