Even the Vampire Diaries cast needs to get its supernatural fix somewhere and, for Michael Trevino (Tyler Lockwood), it’s with the television anthology series American Horror Story. What did he recently take to Twitter to say about the FX horror?

#AHSCoven was weak tonight. I thought last weeks episode was much better. Spalding is a mutha f&$kin creep man!” Michael tweeted on November 6, apparently after having viewed Season 3, Episode 5 (“Burn, Witch, Burn”) of AHS. We totally agree with Michael’s assessment of mute butler character Spalding, played fantastically by Denis O’Hare. He has yellow fingernails and Argus Filch hair and, oh yeah, no tongue! We feel for the guy, but he still totally creeps us out.

We think AHS is probably good research for Michael, who will soon be appearing on another New Orleans-set supernatural show with witches you may or may not have heard about...Yeah, we’re talking about The Originals, where — word on the street is — Tyler will soon pop up, presumably to follow through on his vow to ruin Klaus’ life.

We’ve long noticed the thematic similarities between the TVD spin-off and AHS, but now that we know Michael is a fan, our scheming is finally falling into place. We say The Originals ditches TVD and goes for an all-out crossover with AHS instead. The witches are so much cooler (and scarier) on the latter. They would make a much worthier opponent for the Mikaelson family than their current witch population.

What do you think? Should The Originals and AHS join forces? Sound off in the comments below!
