Fanfiction writers, it’s time to boot and rally — you can finally settle the Stelena vs. Delena debate for good with Vampire Diaries creator Julie Plec. However, you’ll have to do more than assemble a perfect GIF post.

For those who ship Klaroline like nobody’s business and think that it’s time for a Klaus and Caroline spin-off, or someone who thinks Delena and Stelena should just merge into a Big Love remake, gather your detailed plans and get ready to pitch it to Julie at the 2014 ATX Television Festival in Austin, Texas.

At the third annual festival, the Final Draft-sponsored second pitch competition ever will take place, in which 10 aspiring TV writers try to sell their show in three minutes. While they have to be original (pun intended) ideas, that doesn’t mean your ideas can’t be Klaroline inspired — it just has to be a show that can actually air if it is selected as a winner. It’s basically Shark Tank for TV.

Julie is among an incredible list of writers, creators, executive producers, and directors — ranging from David Semel (who worked on Dawson’s Creek, Homeland, and more) to CBS VP of Drama Development Bryan Seabury to The League’s Paul Scheer —  who will narrow down the semi-finalists to 10 finalists who will compete at ATX in June 2014. In order to qualify, you have to send in a 90-second pitch via YouTube to the ATX co-creators, pay a small $25 fee, and cross your fingers. They decide your fate — aka if you’ll come face-to-face with Julie.

“Our panel of judges will choose ONE winner after hearing the 10 live pitches. This winner will receive a meeting with one of our judges (based on the show’s genre/judges’ availability) to explore the idea of his/her series and gain notes to better develop the series. After the pitch is honed, the winner will then get a pitch meeting in front of one of our studio/network partners (again, dependent on the show’s genre and style) to try and sell his or her pilot for production.”

ATX Television Festival Season 3 runs from June 5-8, 2014 in Austin, Texas. Julie is also expected to talk about The Vampire Diaries with star Arielle Kebbel and other stars at panel(s), both TBA.
