If there’s one thing the Vampire Diaries Powers That Be are trying to force down our throats this year, it has to be Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Jeremy’s (Steven R. McQueen) complicated relationship. In an extended promo for Thursday’s “Death and the Maiden” episode (the seventh of Season 5), we’re getting overwhelmed with Beremy feels.

In the promo, things get pretty emotional when Jeremy gives Ghost Bonnie the news that Amara (Nina Dobrev) isn’t going to be easy to keep alive. The problem with Amara dying is that she’s the anchor that is keeping the Other Side (aka Bonne’s new home) intact. Her death means that collapse of that dimension.

“I wonder what will happen, if she dies and the Other Side gets destroyed,” Bonnie wonders. “Do you think there’ll be a white light and then nothing? It won’t hurt, will it? It would suck if it hurt.” Ouch, just thinking about the pain from a collapsing dimension has us quivering in our boots. But don’t worry, Bonnie has Jeremy there to comfort her, right?

“There are three things that I want to tell you,” Jeremy says. Bonnie then pleads for no goodbye speeches. “This is not a goodbye. That’s the first thing. I know in one way or another, that you will always be here. The second is, thank you for giving your life up for me. And the third is…”

Bonnie interrupts Jeremy from delivering the last blow to our feels. We’re pretty sure the miniature hulk was getting ready to tell his favorite dead witch that he loves her, but we can’t be certain! Bonnie promises that there’ll be another time, so be on the lookout for some 143 action later this season.

In the meantime, check out the entire promo and dry your tears knowing that you can watch a new episode of The Vampire Diaries tomorrow night.
