Sometimes, we think Vampire Diaries star Candice Accola has an awful lot in common with her on-screen counterpart, Type A super-vamp Caroline Forbes. No, Candice is not a vampire (probably), but she does seem to get a kick out of party planning. The event in question? Her own wedding to The Fray’s guitarist Joe King! Check out what she told E! Online about the process!

“It’s great. It’s very fun,” said Candice, before musing on the nature of the wedding planning process — i.e. when you do and don’t get the free food. “It’s a very interesting thing, wedding planning, because it starts out you get engaged, and you get a lot of free champagne and food. And then, all of a sudden, you have all these things to do, and like phone calls and emails to write, and that’s not fun. So, I’m waiting for the part where we get back to like the free food part.” She’s a girl after our own hearts!

Candice really seems to have a healthy perspective on the whole wedding planning process. In October, she told Parade: “I thought I’d be more bridezilla. I thought I’d agonize over envelopes. But I’m really lucky to have a fiancé who’s really involved.”

But, of course, Candice isn’t the only bride-to-be in the TVD cast. Co-star Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett) will be saying “I do” to model Cottrell Guidry. She told E! Online that Candice has been a lot of help in the wedding-planning process: "She's helped me a lot and [I've learned] how to define my wedding style and what that means.” That’s right, Bonnie and Caroline are totally besties in real life.

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
