Since The Vampire Diaries is back tonight with Season 5 Episode 16 ("While You Were Sleeping"). If you’re super busy and aren’t able to catch The Vampire Diaries in all its glory Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on the CW, you’re not alone. And we know that you’re in desperate need of some doppelgangers, vamps, and witches, so we’re here to help you out.
We’re knee-deep in Season 5 of the hit supernatural show and things aren’t about to slow down anytime soon. So far we’ve seen way too many doppelgangers, some epic deaths, and a tragic Delena breakup. If you’re already behind, you’re going to want to get caught up right away. But the real question is: Where can you watch The Vampire Diaries online?
I want to marathon Season 1 through 4. Have you heard of a little site called Netflix? Luckily for you subscribers out there, the online streaming site is offering you everything from the epic beginning of TVD all the way up to the intense Season 4 finale. They added Season 4 back on October 3, the same day Season 5 premiered on TV.
I want to watch new episodes. We have some good news for you! Thanks to the Powers That Be over at The CW, you can catch new episodes online after they air right on The CW’s site. You might have to wait a day or two, but you’ll be able to catch new episodes for free — with commercials, of course.
The other option is going to cost you some money. Amazon Prime does have new episodes of TVD, as does Hulu Plus. What’s the difference between these two? Hulu Plus offers a $7.99 a month plan, though that ends up being about $20 more a year than Prime (which costs $79 per year).
The Vampire Diaries airs Thursday nights at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
