From Lauren Conrad to Ashley Greene to Pretty Little Liars cutie Lucy Hale, Mark Cosmetics has a knack for selecting our ultimate Hollywood girl crushes as the faces of their brand. So, when the company chose Vampire Diaries star Kat Graham as part of their “10 to Watch” campaign, it certainly came as no surprise.

The year-long project seeks to highlight 10 up-and-coming women who are leaving their mark (get it?) on both the industry and the world at large. Kat lent her face to an exclusive photoshoot for the brand’s “magalog,” in which she got glammed up by celebrity makeup artist Jamie Greenberg.

“I take chances,” Kat says, when asked how she’s making her mark in beauty. “I’m not afraid to try things... bright eyes, bright lips. I’m also a big advocate for being yourself. A lot of that has to do with how you wear your makeup — if you want to wear makeup, if you like to wear lighter makeup, smoky eyes, bright lips, whatever it is. You make your mark by being true to who you are and letting that be your staple.”

Of course, on the set of The Vampire Diaries, Kat is forced to go much more minimal as the earthy witch Bonnie Bennett. Because of that, she enjoys going extra glam on her days off the set. “I’m a smoky eye girl. I love playing with eye colors, metallics... fun stuff!”
