Over on The Vampire Diaries, we like to ogle the hot guys and gals and pair them up on a weekly basis — heck, the entire show is based on a love triangle between brothers Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) and their mutual love interest, Elena (Nina Dobrev). But one relationship that has us scratching our heads is the budding one between Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) and Nadia (Olga Fonda).

What started as a casual threesome in Prague has blossomed into an odd friendship of sorts. But is Matt done with the travelers inhabiting his brain now that Gregor has bit the dust (thanks, Katherine)? Executive producer Caroline Dries says…

“That's always a possibility with Matt, but now it's more about him building a relationship with Nadia,” Caroline told the site. Oh, so we should be on the lookout for these two to get romantic in the coming episodes?

“We saw it in the premiere and we're going to tee it up again in this episode and the next episode,” Caroline continued. “They have a very complicated relationship where he just has a big heart and he's human so she finds him lovable in a way. But at the end of the day, she has a very clear agenda and if she has to hurt him or betray him in any way, she's going to do it.”

We hope Nadia can get from behind her agenda and really connect with Matt — geez, he really needs some love after all the crap he’s been through the past five seasons.

Do you think Nadia and Matt belong together or is it too weird? Hit the comments and let us know!
