We may never get to see Malese Jow as homeschooled vampire Anna on The Vampire Diaries again, but that doesn’t mean she’s gone from our television lives forever. The former TVDer is starring in Star-Crossed, the CW’s new alien-human romance set to premiere this winter. And now the project has an official start date! When are we getting our next dose of Malese?
Mark your calendars, folks! According to Deadline, the CW has scheduled Star-Crossed to premiere on Monday, February 17 at 8 p.m. ET. The show will air before the winter premiere of Beauty and The Beast in a romance-themed block before The Tomorrow People moves to Mondays to fill Beauty’s spot in March. Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People: sounds like our perfect Monday night!
Star-Crossed has a total Roswell-vibe going for it, which — in our book — is the highest of compliments. The show will tell the story of two teenagers — one human (Emery, played by Friday Night Lights alum Aimee Teegarden), one alien (Roman, played by the charismatic Matt Lanter) — and their forbidden romance on Earth. Where does Malese fall in all of this? She plays Emery’s friend, Julia, who has a fatal illness that the Atrians (aka the alien race) may be able to cure. Sign us up! We’d watch Malese in anything, and this show sounds positively addicting.
Are you as big a Malese fan as we are? Will you be watching Star-Crossed? Sound off in the comments below!
