We have to wait until January 23 for an all-new episode of The Vampire Diaries, but that doesn’t mean we have to go without TVD awesomeness. Arielle Kebbel has just rehashed the midseason finale, Season 5, Episode 10 (“Fifty Shades of Grayson”) — and her hilarious commentary will most likely make your day! And you’ll never guess which TVDer stopped by the rehash to spill secrets of what’s to come!

The special TVD guest was Julie Plec, aka executive producer of the series. What does she have to say about the big Delena breakup?” “I say nothing,” she initially teased — before eventually breaking into news of Damon’s mindset in the much-anticipated 100th episode (Season 5, Episode 11: “500 Years of Solitude”). Will Damon find happiness next ep? “Damon will find misery. Damon will find pain. Damon will find suffering. Damon will contemplate happiness — does that count?” Um, no. But we’re still watching.

Arielle was on top form in this week’s rehash, summarizing the heartbreak that went down on multiple couples in the midseason finale: “We all just got totally midseason finaled, didn’t we?” Arielle quipped. “Not only is Delena suddenly in serious trouble, but all of you newly-minted Steferine shippers out there might want to hold off on that t-shirt order.” Never! There’s still hope for these two, right?

What did Julie have to say about the Twitter-sphere’s claims that the TVD Powers That Be can’t kill our beloved Katherine: “Well, we can kill Katherine. Well, I mean, I don’t know if we did. You have to kind of wait and see.” Julie implied that the title might be a clue to the amount of Katherine scene-age we’ll be getting in the climactic ep.

Check out the rest of Arielle’s hilarious recap. Per the usual, it doesn’t disappoint!

What did you think of the rehash? Will Katherine die? What pain is Damon going to feel? Hit the comments and speculate!

The Vampire Diaries returns Thursday, January 23 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
