There’s going to be vampires galore at PaleyFest 2014! Not only has CW juggernaut The Vampire Diaries snagged a spot in the TV festival’s newly-released lineup, but freshman spinoff The Originals will be appearing alongside its sister series. Three cheers for Julie Plec!

It’s going to be a huge festival this year, with some huge panels and events. Not only is the Veronica Mars gang getting back together, but the cast of Lost is going to be reuniting for the 10 year anniversary of the series! Oh, and a certain little show — How I Met Your Mother, maybe you’ve heard of it — will be picking up its yellow umbrella and saying farewell.

Other than that, getting invited to the fest this year means that your show is clearly at the cutting edge of TV. Orange Is the New Black and Masters of Sex are just two of the watercooler shows that have been invited, along with a few funny favorites: The Mindy Project and Veep.

But TVD and The Originals won’t be the only supernatural show represented. American Horror Story: Coven has scored the closing spot, fueling the witches vs. vampire feud for at least another year.
