It’s been a few seasons of The Vampire Diaries since we’ve had the chance to hang with the late, great Vicki Donovan (Kayla Ewell), but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten about Matt’s (Zach Roerig) big sister — even if she is a ghost. And Kayla hasn’t forgotten about TVD, either! At the 100th episode celebration party, she dished to Zap2it about her faith in the show and what her character has been up to on The Other Side.

"Honestly, with the writing from the very beginning, I thought it was totally going to make it to 100 episodes," said Kayla, who was the first main character to be turned vamp early in Season 1. "It's really well done and surprising all the time. But the fans are the real reason it's made it this far. Without the people who want to watch the show, the show doesn't exist. It's been a really wonderful journey. It's really cool. I cannot believe it's been 100. It's surreal."

So, what has Vicki been up to since her last ghostly appearance in Season 3? "She's in a parallel world or something. Of course she's been watching from The Other Side," Kayla said. "I think Vicki always watches Matt no matter what." Aww. We always loved their siblings relationship — and it makes us oh-so-sad that Matt basically has no family left. Might Vicki be one of the familiar faces returning on-screen for the 100th episode?

While Kayla wouldn’t spill on that, she did say that "Vicki definitely wouldn't approve of Nadia ... but Matt's a big boy and he can handle himself." We would love to see the Donovan siblings have that conversation face-to-face. (Just so you know, TV gods.) Whether or not Vicki pops up in the 100th episode, Kayla shared, “I think the 100th episode is going to be really surprising. It's really exciting and I think after it airs people will be talking about it a lot.” We sure will be!
