It’s the aftermath of the big Delena breakup in the 100th episode of The Vampire Diaries airing Thursday, and the results are unexpectedly humorous — for now. What are Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Elena (Nina Dobrev) up to the morning after they called it quits? Check it out in this sneak peek for Season 5, Episode 11 (“500 Years of Solitude”).

Honeymoon’s over! In the clip from this week’s episode, we see Caroline (Candice Accola) cheerily bringing Elena her “breakup breakfast,” aka a smorgasbord of muffins, fruit and — from the looks of those glasses — alcohol. It all seems very sweet, until you realize that the Care Bear is positively beside herself with glee about the Delena breakup. Bonnie (Kat Graham) tries to be more conflicted: “So that’s it? You’re just giving up?” she asks her roomie.

Before Elena has a chance to answer, Caroline gives her opinion. “As she should! I mean, he did say — and I quote — ‘I am a bad person. I am bad for you. And I am choosing to let you go,’” Caroline recounts. Elena is surprised (and a little bit angry?) that Caroline memorized her breakup. Caroline is surprised that Elena is surprised. She hands Elena a mimosa. (Better keep one of those for yourself, Care. You might need one after you indulge in some scandalous behavior of your own later in the ep.)

At the Mystic Grill, Damon is doing decidedly worse than Elena. He is draped over the bar as Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) fills Matt (Zach Roerig) in on the latest town gossip. Matt wins the award for Best Delena Breakup Reaction Ever: “Who spends two years pining after a girl to dump her?” Matt asks incredulously.

Damon is not impressed. “I can hear you, dumbass,” he says, face still resting on the bar. Matt doesn’t care. He’s too disappointed. He tried to get Elena back for at least a half-season after she broke up with him.

All in all, the 100th episode is shaping up to be a thoroughly entertaining installment, full of heartbreak and humor — and we haven’t even made it to the Katherine dying storyline yet!
