The 100th episode of The Vampire Diaries is a big deal — so how did star Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert) celebrate? The TVDer dished to E! Online about his reaction to the milestone installment.

“Well, I celebrated by playing a bunch of video games with my little brother last night, so things are getting pretty crazy, pretty wild,” teased Steven, before getting more serious about how the television series has changed his life. “I shot the pilot when I was 19 years old. I’m 25. I started working with this group of people that has become my family, and it’s a surreal experience.”

The character of Jeremy has been on the TVD chopping block several times now — and we really thought he had died for awhile there last season. Is Steven surprised that Jeremy is still alive and kicking in Mystic Falls? "I'm surprised, I'm happy. For some reason, Jeremy gets knocked down, but he keeps on getting back up again. I'm very grateful.” So are we! And we’re hoping Jer can hold out through the 100th episode. We’re still not sure what’s going down in the much-anticipated episode, but “death is knocking at the window.” All spoilers point to Katherine’s demise, but one never knows with a twist ending in store!

Whatever happens, the gang is back together again. Steven spoke about an all-cast scene that TVD scheduled an entire day to film: “Today is one of those rare days when we’re taking a full day to have us all in one scene, and that’s great. It’s a great experience to have us all together.” Aww.

How does Steven think us fans will react to the 100th episode? “They’re gonna freak out. It’s awesome,” he said. We suppose we could see that happening...

The Vampire Diaries airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
