The 100th episode of The Vampire Diaries was chock full of familiar faces from seasons past, including Kayla Ewell, aka Vicki Donovan! Vicki was with TVD in the very beginning — when Elena was a human and doppelganger was just a silly-sounding German word — so it was pretty great to see her lovely face in Season 5, Episode 11 (“500 Years of Solitude”). And, from the looks of Kayla’s Twitter page, she’s just as nostalgic for the early days, too. Check out the throwback pic she posted in honor of the milestone episode.

“In honor of #TVD100 here is one of the first days spent with some of the greatest friends I'll ever have. Congrats!!” Kayla captioned the photo of Sara Canning (Aunt Jenna), Candice Accola (Caroline Forbes), Nina Dobrev (Elena Gilbert), and herself circa Season 1 of TVD — isn’t it adorable? We didn’t think the cast had changed all that much over the last five years — you know, being immortal and all — but they all look oh-so-young. It’s enough to bring a tear of nostalgia to our eye!

As far as good ol’ Vicki Donovan goes, we were pleasantly surprised to see her in the ep. (Even if she’s not a Mebekah fan.) And it made us wonder if there would ever be a place for her ghost-y self to return to the show. With Bonnie currently acting as the anchor to the Other Side, there’s definitely room for some more exploration of the lives of those who has left this mortal realm and moved somewhere…else. At the very least, Bonnie and Jeremy could be making some serious dough as Mystic Falls mediums, reconnecting people with their dearly departed. Does anyone else smell another potential spin-off?

Do you think the TVDers have changed much from Season 1? And do you miss Vicki as much as we do? Sound off in the comments below!
