Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev may have had a small, intimate celebration with Julianne Hough and Ian Somerhalder on the actual day of her birthday — January 9 — but you didn’t think that was the real thing, did you? Nina had an epic, jungle-themed birthday extravaganza in Los Angeles last Saturday — and there were more than a few fellow TVDers in attendance!

“Per @ninadobrev demands...it got different last night,” David Anders (John Gilbert) tweeted on January 26, along with a photo of Nina, Kat Graham (Bonnie Bennett), and two more of Nina’s closest friends all decked out in their best jungle-themed costuming.

For the record, Nina looks smoking as a cheetah and Kat makes one adorable frog. David thinks so, too! In keeping the Twitter-sphere updated on the night’s shenanigans, he tweeted another picture of himself giving Kat a great, big hug as someone else reaches their hand into the picture.

“Where's does @KatGraham begin and the endless bevy of dude hands end? Frog Suits are so hot right now. And Hands,” David captioned the pic.

We have a sneaking suspicion the mystery hand in question might belong to none other than Matt Davis (Alaric Saltzman). In yet another tweet from the night, we see Matt and Kat with their arms around one another while David looks on with an expression of mock contemplation: “@ErnestoRiley @KatGraham & myself celebrating @ninadobrev quinces era + 10 more anos. CosPlay is an Epidemic,” David captioned the pic. Um, we’d like to join this particular epidemic, please.

Other TVDers in attendance included actress Kayla Ewell (Vicki), co-creators Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson, and executive producer Caroline Dries. One big happy TVD family!

Do you want to go to this party as much as we do? And how adorable is the TVD cast? Sound off in the comments below!
