The Vampire Diaries’ Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) is a very unfortunate vampire cannibal because almost everyone he loves is a vampire, too. This means his social circle and his dinner menu just became the same thing. While this might make planning dinner parties easier, it’s also hella awkward. Who will Damon try to feed from first?
We’re super worried that Caroline Forbes will be the first on the list, given the recent spoilers we garnered that the vampire barbie will soon “focus her attention on finding out what this virus is capable of.” It sounds like Caroline will be moving toward the danger instead of away from it. There’s also the fact that there’s little love lost between Caroline and Damon. Caroline more or less hates the elder Salvatore, and Damon doesn’t seem particularly fond of Caroline, either. Bon appetit!
On the other hand, the best dinner is the one you have right in front of you, and right now, Damon is holed up in a house with Enzo. Or, he will be in the next episode. In the promo, we see that Dr. Wes and the Travelers have trapped Denzo into a house. Enzo takes no chances, tying Damon to a chair, but Damon breaks through the binds. Will he eat his best friend?
Speaking of people moving towards the danger instead of away from it, guess who’s currently desperate to get to his brother’s side? While we know that Damon loves his brother and wouldn’t want to hurt him, we could see the bloodlust becoming too much for Damon to handle and, if anyone’s going to volunteer himself as Damon’s first course, it’s going to be Martyr Stefan.
Wherever Stefan goes these days, Katherine-pretending-to-be-Elena goes, too. In the next episode, Katherine and Stefan will road trip to get to Damon, which means she will most likely be one of the options on Damon’s dinner menu, too. If Damon can’t control himself, she’s as likely a snack as the other “loved ones” on the list.
