Last week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries was full of yell-at-the-screen TV moments — which just happens to be the TVD rehash’s specialty. Watch Arielle Kebbel (Lexi Branson) rehash Season 5, Episode 14 (“No Exit”), weighing in on the Steferine almost-hookup, her favorite line, and the big Katherine-is-possessing-Elena reveal!

Arielle starts off the rehash by hilariously voiceover-ing the slow leadup to the revelation that Katherine has hijacked Elena with the best tweets of the night, ending with: “Yes, ding! Lightbulb, people” when Caroline and Stefan finally put it together. Man, it seemed to take the TVDers forever to figure that one out.

On the shipping front, it was a rough week for pretty much everyone. Arielle points out that the Steferine hotel makeout pleased pretty much no ship: Delena, Stelena, or Steferine. Forwood didn’t have much better luck. Over at the Lockwood Mansion (or, as Arielle awesomely refers to it, the Awkward Mansion), Forwood shippers were on a relationship rollercoaster: First, they’re awkward. Then, they’re teasing one another. Then, Tyler saves Caroline from Nadia. And, finally, Tyler tells Caroline that they’re not good. Talk about shipper whiplash!

Checking in with Damon, Arielle does not seem to be over-impressed with his behavior — especially when it involves almost biting Enzo’s head off: “Fortunately, Enzo the cat has a few more lives yet, and so does Matt apparently,” Lexi points out, giving the clip for the quote she “loved” from the ep — aka Katherine’s line to Nadia: “We all love Matt Donovan. Otherwise, he would have been dead a long time ago.” (This was our favorite, too.)

Like ourselves, Arielle is already looking forward to this week’s episode and the big question it raises: “Let’s just hope someone remembers where they put that Traveler knife. Any guesses who might get to use it?” Arielle asks, referring to the passenger-killing blade that would expel Katherine from Elena’s body. From the looks of the extended promo for Season 5, Episode 15 (“Gone Girl”), the TVDers are already on top of it.
