When we first heard that Caroline Forbes would be belting The Bangles’ “Eternal Flame” on Season 2, Episode 16, “House Guest,” we got a little nervous, because it's not every day that our favorite show decides it's time to include musical numbers. But lucky for us, Candice Accola (Caroline) is no stranger to the mic. Commence eargasms!

“Caroline definitely gets on stage and rocks out a little bit,” Candice said, describing the performance to ign. Heck yeah, she did! And not only did the episode provide a little much-needed recreational time for Caroline, it also marked a milestone in Candice’s own life: singing on a CW show.

“ ...When I moved to L.A. — because that's why I initially moved to Los Angeles, was to pursue a career in music — and I got signed to a label and did the whole record thing, it was at a time when cross-marketing was just really kind of important and significant to labels... so they actually asked me to start pushing acting more and to get on a CW show and to sing on a CW show — that would be the ticket!” She adds: “And so it was so funny, because it's like seven years too late. [Laughs] It's never too late, but it's seven years later and to have the opportunity unexpectedly was really, really fun.”

What Candice doesn’t mention is the fact that six months after planting herself in L.A., she landed a record deal and recorded her debut CD, It’s Always the Innocent Ones (which, yes, you can download on iTunes!).

This also won’t be the first time Candice’s pipes have been filmed. Candice sang back-up in Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Quit bein’ so modest, girl!
